Avis provenant de Google“What an amazing holiday! We’ve stayed at our fair share of all-inclusive resorts, but this one really stood out. It didn’t feel like a big chain hotel — much more like a cool boutique resort, with an adults-only concept and a fantastic sporty twist. The food was superb. We actually looked forward to seeing what was on the menu each day because there was so much variety and things constantly changing. From beef bao buns, tuna sashimi and katsu chicken sandwiches to beef cheeks, there was always something different to try, with plenty of vegetarian choices too. The fish selection was excellent, with different types and preparations every day. The themed dinners were fantastic, especially the evening with sirloin, huge prawns, macaroons and an amazing shrimp bisque. Let's not forget a huge chocolate fountain. The bakery deserves a special mention too — the bread selection was fantastic. And the Executive Chef Victor was regularly around, cooking, plating dishes and talking to guests. He was so approachable and friendly. It was lovely to see someone so senior genuinely involved, which really added to the personal feel of the hotel. The activities were another highlight. Sun Salutation Yoga with Nicole was on another level! We actually looked forward to getting up early for it and wouldn’t have minded doing it every day. Aqua Fit with Vicky was also brilliant. We’re normally very much beach people, but we loved the pools too, especially the sports pool. Having the pool with those amazing views over the beach and sea was perfect, and the cabanas were fantastic. The beach itself is incredible — huge, white sand and crystal-clear water that felt like the Caribbean or Maldives. It never felt crowded. The beach bar with evening music and sunset was another favourite. We also loved all the different spaces around the resort — places to have a drink, play ping pong or pool, read or simply relax. The free washing machines were a great touch too, although an upgraded washer/dryer setup would be even better. The management being so visible and involved was another lovely touch. One evening dinner was served by the managers, which really reinforced that boutique, personal feeling. The staff were fantastic and communication was never an issue. We speak English and Portuguese and everyone adapted easily. We also felt very safe throughout our stay. A few things could be improved: the bathroom privacy in the rooms, as the glass sliding door doesn’t close fully and the bathroom light can be disruptive at night. Some ceiling fans in the dining areas and reception would also be welcome. We also tried the spa massage, but at €86 for less than an hour, unfortunately we didn’t feel it was worth the price. Cocktails are another area we’d change — paying €5–€6 for an Aperol Spritz or extra for an Espresso Martini at an all-inclusive resort feels unnecessary, and we’d love to see cocktails included at the beach bar too. But these are small points compared with everything we loved. The country, people, weather, beach, pools, food, activities and atmosphere were outstanding. It felt special, relaxed, stylish and fun — and very different from the usual all-inclusive experience. We left already talking about coming back, which probably says everything. We absolutely loved it and cannot wait to return! ❤️”
“As this was our first visit to Cape Verde, we had read some concerning reviews about food risks on the Island. This was our 25th wedding anniversary with our son (19) and daughter(23) so was a very special family holiday. I can honestly say that the Robinson Cabo Verde Hotel completely exceeded all our expectations in terms of the excellent quality of food freshly made in full view at each station, the wonderful, helpful, friendly staff, the abundance of activities which kept our family active, the lovely Europeans we met and the brilliant nightlife! And not forgetting our daily 5pm visit to the beach bar to chill to the great live music, sat on beanbags whilst overlooking the beautiful long, white sandy beach. The entertainment at night is better than you’d expect! DJ’s just playing chilled classics around the pool during the day is a great touch!👍🏻 One very minor tip, take English tea bags (kettles can be requested). Being an adults only hotel made it a very relaxing mature environment which we loved. So from a family who did not want to leave it’s an absolute 10/10 👍🏻 See you next year🫶🏻”
“Hotel was in a great location on the beach. It was beautifully kept, rooms and gardens etc. The quality of the food was exceptional. However the all-inclusive drinks wasn't brilliant and why the beach bar didn't serve a full range of all-inclusive drinks I don't know. The entertainment was okay, but the choice of bars was really poor. Also lots of open useless space that could have been used as further pools, as there was only two. The pay for choice restaurants (wine & dine and Tapas) was strangly laid out, Tapas being tucked in an area behind reception and laundrette and the wine & dine area being away from the beach and the view. Both I think was a rip-off, especially when the all-inclusive food was so so good. Personally I found the place boring and lacked choice. If you like a beach, enjoy great food and not bothered about the evening or choice of pools or eating areas, this is for you.”
“My wife and I recently stayed at ROBINSON Cabo Verde on the beautiful island of Sal in Cape Verde, and it exceeded every expectation. This adults-only, all-inclusive resort is an absolute gem for couples seeking relaxation, great food, and top-notch service in a stunning beachfront setting. The service is genuinely excellent. The staff are friendly, attentive, and professional — they anticipate your needs without being intrusive. A perfect example was my wife’s birthday: the hotel surprised us by delivering a lovely bottle of champagne along with a personalised card to our room. It was a very much appreciated gesture that made the day feel extra special and showed how much they care about their guests. From the moment you arrive, you feel well looked after in every way. Food and drink are standout highlights. The variety and quality are impressive for an all-inclusive: fresh, beautifully prepared dishes with plenty of options for every taste. The restaurants offer excellent variety, and the beach bar is a highlight — perfect for relaxed lunches or sunset drinks. Cocktails are well-made, and the overall dining experience feels elevated rather than standard all-inclusive fare. One of the things we loved most were the clever touches throughout the hotel. Thoughtful design details make your stay smoother and more enjoyable. A prime example is the self-service water station at the beach bar — such a simple but brilliant idea that keeps you hydrated without any hassle, especially in the warm Cape Verde sun. The beach bar itself is wonderful, with those fantastic bean bags that are pure bliss. Sinking into one with a drink in hand, toes in the sand, and the ocean breeze is the definition of vacation perfection. Whether you’re reading, chatting, or just soaking up the views, it’s incredibly inviting. Cleanliness is impeccable everywhere — rooms, public areas, pools, and beach facilities are spotless and well-maintained. What really sets this place apart is how peaceful and relaxing it is. Despite offering sports and activities, the atmosphere is wonderfully calm. We easily found our own slice of serenity on the long sandy beach or by the pools. The sound of the waves and gentle trade winds create a naturally soothing environment that’s perfect for unwinding. WiFi coverage is excellent throughout the property, including the beach area — a big plus if you want to stay lightly connected without hunting for signal. ROBINSON Cabo Verde strikes the ideal balance of comfort, quality, and laid-back luxury. Whether you’re traveling as a couple or with friends, it’s the perfect escape. We’ll definitely be back! If you’re considering Sal, book this resort with confidence. You won’t regret it. 🌴🏖️🍾.”
“Staff very friendly and helpful, only downside was 2 days with food poisoning, which was reported to rep as had to rearrange booked trip. Sparrows, pigeons and doves in and out of restaurant, saw these birds sitting on and eating food on the serving areas. Never once saw a member of staff make an attempt to move these birds. Saw the cook making doughnuts, put them on the counter, and stood and watched 3 sparrows eat the sugar and peck at the food, just stood there and did nothing. For an island that is so dependant on tourism, the cleanliness and has a lot to be desired. Never saw any one wipe down tables, or use an anti-bacterial spray, shook place mats onto the floor and reset table. I would not be surprised if a bout of salmonella or e-coli, is detected. Sorry would not recommend this hotel again. Spoiled my week, as was very wary of dining there for the remainder of my stay. Update: In regards to the reply from the hotel, I am well travelled, on holiday 3-4 times a year on cruises, both river and ocean. Visiting Europe , Caribbean, Asia , Far East, Americas etc, so, it has nothing to do with different location, food, weather , water etc. It is down to poor, very poor hygiene practices.”
