Porto Platanias Beach Luxury Selection - Adults Only

“Very nice breakfast with a large varaity of sweet and savory dishes, fruits, yoghurt and more. Location is right by the beach and the pool area is very nice. The people working there is friendly and gave us very good service when the AC didn’t work at the initial room. After trying to fix the AC we got a new room with an upgrade. The lunch is also very good. Didn’t try the dinner since the selection was poor and fee people dined there. Propably good, but very nice restaurants in the area. All dining experiences has been perfect.”

“We recently stayed at Porto Platanias Beach Luxury Selection – Adults Only and overall had a very pleasant stay. The hotel was clean throughout, our room was well maintained, and the staff were excellent from start to finish. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, professional and helpful. The breakfast was faultless, with a good variety of options and consistently high quality. Room service was also excellent and always delivered promptly. That said, I do feel the hotel oversells itself as a luxury 5-star experience. By UK standards, I would describe it as a good 3-star hotel rather than a true 5-star property. While everything was perfectly comfortable, it lacked many of the details and standards you would normally expect from a luxury hotel. There were also some maintenance issues, with a number of sunbeds around the pool area appearing worn or broken. In addition, the location is directly next to the main tourist strip in Platanias. Whilst this is convenient for restaurants and bars, it does detract from the exclusive, peaceful and luxurious atmosphere that the hotel’s marketing suggests. Overall, this is a clean, comfortable hotel with fantastic staff, great breakfast and very good service. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to those looking for a good base in Platanias, but travellers expecting a genuine luxury 5-star experience may find it falls short of expectations.”

“My partner and I stayed at this hotel for five days, from June 17 to June 21. If it were possible to leave a 10-star rating, we would. Everything was perfect. The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean, and everything felt new. The room service was excellent, and both the breakfast and dinner were very good. The hotel is located right on the beach, in a relatively central area of the island, with a short drive to most other destinations. The pool was excellent, and the gym was modern and well-equipped. We had an amazing experience in every aspect of our stay. Highly recommended, and we would definitely love to come back again.”

“An outstanding adults-only hotel that truly delivers on everything it promises. The facilities are modern, brand new, and exceptionally well maintained. The staff are highly professional, friendly, and genuinely kind. We were always welcomed with warm smiles, which made us feel at home from the very first moment. We stayed for four nights and only wished we could have stayed longer. The breakfast was excellent—always fresh, with delicious touches inspired by traditional Cretan cuisine. The dinner is an experience you simply shouldn’t miss. Watching the breathtaking sunset while dining makes you fall in love all over again. “Good breakfast, but do not arrive later than 10:15 as they will watch over you checking there watches to rush you out. Sunbed app to order stuff to the pool/ beach does not work by the pool at either of the hotels. No service avaible from sunbeds. The pool is freezing cold!! Everyone has commented on this around the pool and not many people stay in it longer than a few mins. Snacks available are nice however I don’t think they are running dinner service, we tried toget dinner on one occasions and could not Sunbeds and bedrooms are comfortable, everything is very clean and well kept. Maid service is great. Pool area is very quiet and beach is pretty but is Rocky.”
